Forget the bog this Summer – Buy Oil 😉Looking out at the rain and a mere 15 degrees displaying on the Expert Electrical sign across the road from us, it’s hard to believe that last Tuesday (19th July, we have to document these dates as they don’t come along to often) the same sign was showing 31 degrees.
As you can imagine we don’t sell a lot of Home Heating Oil in 31 degree heat but we do sell a lot of green diesel to the tractors who are busy drawing in the turf from the bogs and petrol / diesel to the car loads of families gritting their teeth as they have to make the most of the fine day and go foot turf.
It’s hard to believe that we are now almost a full week into the month of July. It’s not exactly tropical summer weather out there but once it’s dry we are happy, or happyish …
We have had lots of entries for our first ever Lambe’s Oil Amateur Photo Competition and we are so thankful to everyone who has entered. Every time we get a new entry we are rubbing our hands with excitement, we can’t wait to show you some of the photos we have received to date.

Most people are snap happy these days taking photos everywhere they go, be it on a mobile, tablet or the old faithful camera. So why not share some of these snaps with us and our customers around Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and Kildare.
We are delighted with the response we had to our Home Heating Oil Competition thank you to everyone who took the time to enter.We decided to pick a winner the old fashioned way and we pulled the names from a (hat) box. It took some time to cut up all those little bits of paper as you can imagine as we had so many entries but our very own Peter Waters was more than happy to help us pick the winners.
After the recent spell of dry sunny weather temperatures are set to drop back down again. Not only are temperatures dropping but so too is our price!
